Ligoniel Art Work
28th Apr 2016
The Primary 5 children were asked by the Belfast Hills Association to help design a new art work for the Ligoniel Dam. The theme was the flax plant, which was once grown widely in the area. The children helped design the petals and emblems on the statue. The statue was officially unveiled today. The storyteller, Steve Lally, was invited to school to celebrate the event. The children were held spell bound by his stories and also had the chance to play musical instruments.
